moulding leather

me and eve tried out moulding leather for one of our techniques, and it did NOT go as planned!!!

we thought that we were using faux leather, so we were using techniques that is used to mould fake leather... and not real leather!

later on we found out (we think) that we were using real leather!!

for one we used heat and placed it in place with pins and let it cool over night, it made the leather soft and moveable, but it didn't set in place at all so it was a waste of time!

for another one we soaked it in water and then moulded it on the mannequin, and then blasted it with heat and let it set overnight as well. this had better results as it stayed better but it still fell out after a while... so i think we didn't find a very good technique to make this work, so i won't be using it in my final design!!
