creating my outfit

i really enjoyed the process of creating my outfit this project, i loved working in a group and getting everyone’s opinions on everything.

I loved making the belt part of my project as it was something that i had never done, so i loved that i challenged myself through that, and i think the result was really good! My favourite part is the machine embroidery on it, as i think that is the part that pulls the whole outfit together.

I liked the overall shape of the outfit, however, i think i should’ve made the drawstrings a bit higher, so that the difference would be more dramatic, and ‘shocking’!

when i was dyeing the fabric, it happened to go brown near the tops, where the dye separated, which was really ‘heartbreaking’ when i came into collage and saw it, however after my teachers and class mates reassurance, it made me feel better… and the brown could be brought into the whole outfit and it almost fitted within the theme, as it could be seen as rust on a building!

i think that this last project has come out really well and i’m quite proud of it!!
